What if I don't like what you design?
It hasn't happened yet. Sometimes we get it right first time; sometimes it can take a number of discussions and design submissions before the client is happy with the concept. At the end of day we always ensure our clients walk away satisfied and that we are proud of our work.
Do you provide a complete service such as design plus artwork and finally printing of a project?
We are a full service agency providing everything from design and artwork to print handling and delivery.
If I commission a design project through Bad Robot who owns the copyright and intellectual property rights?
Generally the copyright and intellectual property rights remain with the design agency unless the client pays a release fee. You retain a perpetual license to use the design. We reserve the right to feature the work in our portfolio and our own self promotional material
Can you produce a style guide or brand guidelines document for other designers to follow?
Yes. We can create a brand bible which covers the do's and don't for your brand. This often demonstrates a level of professionalism both inside and outside of your organisation - you are serious about your image.
How much do you charge for your website design services?
It depends on what you want. A dynamic design where a lot of advanced programming has been used will cost you more than a simple HTML website. In a majority of cases, a simple site is a far better option - it will cost you a lot less and a simple design is easier to get ranked well in the search engines.
Do I need to use a company that is local to me?
No you don't, as everything can be done over the internet or the telephone. We design websites for companies worldwide and rarely meet our clients. Our door is always open to anyone who would like a personal meeting but we only visit customers when the project requires it. This helps to keep our prices down!
Are there any hidden charges for your design, copywriting or optimisation services?
Definately not! Once we have agreed the scope, timescales and price then that is what you pay. The only time the price will change is if you change the scope or timescale.
What do I get to see and when?
You will get to see and approve the layouts - that is how the site will look. Once the site is completed you will be able to test and approve it before it is implemented. Then once it is implemented you have to sign-off the project as complete. If you need to see the site during development this can be arranged.
How long does it take to complete?
Timescales are largely dependent upon our clients. Our average time from start to finish is 6 weeks.
Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
No. We do everything for you.
How do I get listed in Google?
It is free to submit to Google and you can do that here. We submit all websites we design to Google, MSN, Yahoo and DMOZ. Most of our contracts include basic search engine optimisation to help increase your ranking with the search engines.
