The clocks have sprung forward, the evenings are already starting to draw out, and hopefully the weather will soon be getting better…hopefully.
So now is a good time to shake off those winter blues, get out and about with your camera and kick-start your photography - and you don’t need to venture too far to find some really good photo opportunities.

Not everyone is aware that there is a browser war going on between Internet Explorer and its 3 main rivals, which are Mozillas Firefox, Opera and Apples Safari. A lot of Windows users are unaware that there are other browsers available to them that can offer safer browsing and a greater number of add-ons and user options.
Although Internet Explorer is still the most popular browser on the market it is getting strong competition from its nearest competitor Firefox. Figures released by W3schools show that Firefox is becoming more and more popular on the net: Read the rest of this entry »

I would heartily recommend Bad Robot. They have done a fantastic job at building my new website and were very good at advising on content and layout of the site. I am very happy with the outcome.

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term:
“Is Hell exothermic [gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Support your answer with a proof.”
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: Read the rest of this entry »

Web 2.0 is a term becoming frequently more common among web users. So what does it actually mean?
Web 2.0 is a term used to define the state of the World Wide Web today and how we as the user have progressed. Websites in the last 5 or 6 years have become more interactive, allowing the user to get more out of websites and even allowing them to own their own piece of the web. The explosion of sites such as Facebook, Bebo, MySpace and YouTube allow the public to control what they are seeing on the Internet. This explosion has to be taken very seriously. With the record breaking sale of Youtube to Google and the endless amount of stars MySpace has created has changed the way we interact with the Internet.
The Internet is arguably the most important medium ever created, with children turning their backs on television in favour of the net - were they have the control over what they see and can interact with it in totally new ways. Don’t be fooled in thinking that television is dead. Over the last year we have seen what it is capable of with TV-on-demand and intelligent TVs which records your favourite programmes regardless of whether you are viewing them or not.
I believe new forms of television will emerge to counter Web2.0 but I don’t think its ever going to be a serious threat. If you really want to express yourself, voting for the new Joseph or some fat celebrity is never going to suffice, not when you have the ability to rant to the world.
If you believe Web 2.0 is just a clever marketing phrase coined to drive sales - stop there. It takes a few clicks to create a blog entry and allow me to voice my opinions to the world.
Bad Robot is now recruiting agents across the UK to promote the business.

For those that missed it, and for those who have never seen them, Google did it again this year. On the 1st of April Google announced its joint venture with Virgin: Project Virgle, the first permanent human colony on Mars.
For thousands of years,
the human race has spread out across the Earth, scaling mountains and plying the oceans, planting crops and building highways, raising skyscrapers and atmospheric CO2 levels, and observing, with tremendous and unflagging enthusiasm, the Biblical injunction to be fruitful and multiply across our world’s every last nook, cranny and subdivision.
An invitation.
Earth has issues, and it’s time humanity got started on a Plan B. So, starting in 2014, Virgin founder Richard Branson and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin will be leading hundreds of users on one of the grandest adventures in human history: Project Virgle, the first permanent human colony on Mars.
